TOGETHER FOR A GREENER, MORE COLORFUL, AND MORE BEAUTIFUL DUPNITSA!
Today, the Dupnitsa Youth Center—with the support of the Municipality of Dupnitsa and the Municipal Enterprise for "Cleanliness and Maintenance of Public Spaces"—organized a volunteer event to plant ornamental trees and various types of vegetation.
Just before the activity began, Yavor Tsegrilovski, a forester for the Municipality of Dupnitsa, delivered an engaging and informative educational talk. He covered topics such as the local ecosystem within the municipality, the importance of green spaces, biodiversity, and environmental conservation.
Following the educational session, the young participants—full of enthusiasm, smiles, and eagerness—actively took part in the planting, contributing to the enhancement and beautification of the city center.
The center of Dupnitsa is now even more beautiful and green! Thanks to this volunteer initiative, the urban environment has been enriched with a variety of ornamental species:
- Red Oak
- Japanese Cherry
- Blue Spruce
- Magnolia
- Judas Tree (Wild Carob)
Each of these species will add its own unique beauty and character, helping to create a more welcoming, colorful, and green urban environment throughout the seasons.
Today, we didn’t just plant trees—we planted hope, a sense of responsibility, and care for the future of our city! Heartfelt thanks to all the young people and volunteers who, through their hard work, diligence, and positive energy, demonstrated that the youth can be a driving force for positive change!
Special thanks go to Yavor Tsegrilovski, a forester for the Municipality of Dupnitsa, for his engaging and inspiring lecture. We also extend our gratitude to the Municipality of Dupnitsa and the Municipal Enterprise "Cleanliness and Maintenance of Public Areas" for their assistance, support, and help in making this initiative a reality!
We also thank the "Acad. Sergey P. Korolev" Vocational High School in Dupnitsa and its students, who participated in the volunteer drive with eagerness, diligence, and enthusiasm, contributing to the improvement and beautification of our city!
Let us work together to care for the newly planted trees so that they may grow, thrive, and bring joy to the residents and visitors of Dupnitsa for years to come!
Together, we are planting the future! Together, we are making Dupnitsa greener and more beautiful!
This event was carried out as part of the "Dupnitsa Youth Center" project (Contract No. 25-00-37/20.07.2026), under the Ministry of Youth and Sports' Program for the Funding of Youth Centers in the Republic of Bulgaria (2026–2028).
